Look at your digital life, what do you see around?
There is a lot of stuff in our lives, and often we forget about something we installed or site we registered at, it is important to understand what digital footprint you leave online and who has your data. Often apps are installed and forgotten on our devices, however they continue to feed their creators, for example have you installed that flash light app to synchronize with whole stadium at the concert, if you did it still sending data to company that created it, even if you no longer need it. So with this exercise we'd take you through inventory process and suggest you to take actions on things that are no longer relevant.
Step 1: Document all devices that are connected to the internet in your house, we going to use that information at a later date.
Step 2: Go over each of those devices and document all applications installed on them, we going to use that information at a later date.
Step 3: Remove applications that you installed at some point and no longer need.
Step 4: Bonus point: search information about applications that seems suspicious to you.
Step 5: Review your inbox, try to remember sites that you registered with. Document each site/company that you registered with online.
Step 6: Remove accounts from websites that you no longer need if you can.
Step 7: Unsubscribe from emails that cluttering your inbox.
Step 8: Look at all of that data you've collected those are goign to be our targets for next few days.
